Hold & Bark Contest

Friday, October 12

One of our main goals for this event is to make sure everyone has an exceptionally good time and has a chance to take home some money, which is why we are hosting a hold and bark contest on the trial field Friday night after the draw.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. No preregistration necessary.

$30 entry fee.

The dog that barks the most times in 30 seconds at a helper in the blind wins. We will have a helper available, but you’re free to use your own. All helpers must wear scratch pants and a sleeve. Barks will be counted by three judges. The only thing that we’re judging is how many times each dog barks.

The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate from our vendor and sponsor WT Metall, $100 cash from the Schutzhund Trainers League, plus 50% of the entry money. The other 50% will be donated the Officer Collin Rose Memorial Foundation. (Collin, a K-9 officer for the Wayne State University Police Department, lost his life in the line of duty on November 23, 2016. He was a helper, IPO competitor, and a beloved friend to all of us at PronouncedK9.)

If you’re able, come show off your dog for a chance to win some cash and to help us honor a fallen hero. Spectators are encouraged. We’ll have food and bonfire, so bring your favorite adult beverage and join in the fun!
